Final MDS 3.0 RAI User Manual Content Released
CMS released chapters 2 and 4 and Appendix C January 27, 2010 to complete the MDS 3.0 RAI User’s Manual. In response
MED-PASS has begun development of three versions of the MDS 3.0 RAI User’s Manual. All three versions consist of two
volumes and provide options tailored to the different needs of nurses and other staff involved in the MDS process. The
first volume of each version contains the MDS RAI User’s Manual chapters and appendices A-G, the second volume contains
Appendix H (all the MDS 3.0 forms). It is believed CMS will issue corrections and clarifications sometime in March/April
2010 at which time MED-PASS will begin production of these manuals. Advance orders can be placed now.
